Month: February 2014

Wednesday 2-19-14 (light recap of Monday and Tuesday as well)

First I will touch on Monday and Tuesday, then I’ll get to today. Monday was boring. I did laundry, a little history, and (I’ll be honest) mostly computer or the iPod. But in the evening, we had PE. It was the Fingersons and Teagardens, us and the Ursus. We played basketball. My team won. Because of Daniel, he was beast. So was Papa. Tuesday, nothing happened worth repeating, except Josiah, Carissa and I played a game of Forgotten Empires II with the Farrands and we lost. 😦 And then……. 😀 I. Started. Outlining. Scenes. For. The. Film. Yaaayy!!!!! 😀 😀 😀

Now to today:
It started off slow, I didn’t really get up till ten and I wandered around till twelve. Then I started everyone cleaning, turned up the music, and took pictures. 😀 There aren’t any pictures of me, because I was taking the pictures and didn’t feel like a selfie.

That’s what I cleaned. This was after I’d been working on it for awhile. 🙂

Yes, he’s fine. He was talking on the phone, and his phone was plugged in, and the cord was really short. At first we thought he was talking to himself…

Tonight was the Truth Project at church. I only got a few pictures, and they’re pretty self-explanatory. 🙂

Taking a short break before discussion and prayer time.

Then we prayed and went home. The end.

I don’t know of anything that is happening tomorrow, but I shall try to take pictures of whatever happens. Which will prolly be me catching up on history. 😛 Friday, Saturday and Sunday will be interesting though, and full. 😀 Hopefully I remember to get pictures… 😉
Goodnight all!

Life

Sometimes, I feel up on top of the world, and then the very next minute I’m snapping at my siblings, griping about laundry, and throwing a temper tantrum. Those days are when I feel like giving up. Sometimes I nearly do. Often, I’ll let everything slide while I try not to think about anything more selfless than… well, nothing. Needless to say, I’m not a very pleasant person to live with once that happens. And by saying this, does it mean that this never happens anymore? No. But. I am earnestly seeking God, and He is patient. He loves me. Picks me up when I fall down. Forgives me when I’m sorry. Humbles me (oh, how I need it!). He shows me His greatness throughout weakness, and He gives me strength.

As I am getting older, closer to graduating, getting my license, etc, I have been wondering what God will have me do with my life. Whether I will marry, have children, raise them to follow Him. Or if He will call me to serve in a foreign country. Or just have me stay home, serving my parents and church like my two older sisters. His answer? Do what is before me. Right now. Things like: write the script, do the laundry, do my history, cook, clean, be kind and gentle. Whenever people ask me what I am going to do, I can say with complete confidence and a smile “whatever is before me that needs to be done.” Because that is what I am called to do, right here, right now. With God’s help, I am content. I am where I need to be. I don’t need to look elsewhere for anything. God is everything.

I hope that made sense somehow….

Anyway, that is my life right now, and I am trying to live it to the full.

Sometime I should do a rundown of a typical week at my house… That would be fun. 😀

Father-daughter story {Update and snippets}

To keep myself distracted while waiting for the film meeting, (because I didn’t want to write more plot until I knew whether or not we were going to split the film into parts) I worked on the father-daughter story. I finished the second chapter and started the third. I think somewhere in the fourth or fifth chapter Elizabeth will get kidnapped, but I’m not sure yet… Anyway, I decided to not post any more complete chapters for awhile, just snippets. 😀 Because I’m mean like that. Y’all are gonna have to wait… unless you go to my church or are named Maria or Althea. 😉 I’ve named to of Elizabeth’s friends she makes while she’s kidnapped, sketched Elizabeth and Juliette, a fellow captive. The other friend is named Ian. I think he’s going to be an interesting character… 😀 His nickname (before I named him, which was last night) was “The Hero”…

Without further ado, Snippets!!

Walter sighed. Nobody was helping. I suppose they all mean well, but they’re making it worse. Can’t they all just go away? Can’t Rena just come back to me? She was definitely going to be missed, the funeral showed that much. He was surprised Rena had had such an impact on so many people. She was a good woman, and a faithful wife. I couldn’t have been more blessed.

Walter got up from the couch where he had been sitting and went upstairs to check on Elizabeth. Knocking on her door, he said softly “Betty, can I come in?”

“Sure, daddy.” Elizabeth replied. Walter couldn’t tell if she was upset: her voice was very level. Opening the door slowly, he went and sat next to her on the bed.

“Are you okay?” He asked somewhat awkwardly.

Elizabeth let out a little huff, “No,” she said, pain evident in her tone. “No, I’m not okay daddy. I don’t think I could ever be okay again.”

“Meet you in the living room by 4:30 sharp. That gives you thirty minutes. Think you can beat me getting ready?”

“Oh, no you don’t!” Elizabeth said, shouting at his retreating form. “I’ll be there by 4:25!”

At four-twenty, Elizabeth ran out of her room, slamming the door, and running down the stairs, Walter just seconds behind. Making a wild dash for the couch, Elizabeth leaped onto the soft cushion. “I beat!!” She yelled, grinning.

Walter fell next to her, laughing, “You sure did!” They shared a good laugh. “That felt good.” Walter smiled. “Let’s watch a movie till the Trents come. You pick.”

Elizabeth looked at Walter with mischief in her eyes. “Okaay,” she said smugly. She got up to look at the girl movies her and her mother liked to watch. Then she smirked over her shoulder at her father, laughing at his slightly panicked expression.

“He left what?” Walter said, shocked. He fell silent for awhile, waiting. “Are you sure?” He asked, incredulously. A pause. “Thank you. Yes, I’ll call him right away. Thank you again. Goodbye,” then hung up. Turning to Elizabeth, he said, “well, what do you know about that!”

“What?” She asked.

“Remember my Uncle Darryl?” He asked. She nodded.

“He died recently, right?”

There you go! I hope you enjoyed! Now, I must go do productive things like fold laundry….

{Update}

So today was the film meeting. I don’t quite know what happened, but I do know that I will be writing the script starting at the soonest possible time. In other words, we have decided to split the film into parts. I hope to post soon saying that I’ve started writing the script, but until then, adios!
