First off, I’m going to be a senior counselor at Camp Gilead this summer! It’s something I’ve wanted to do for a while, and everyone around me assures me that I’ll do well there. I went through a time of anxiety while I was waiting to be accepted, but during that time God gave me confirmation that He was in my plan to go. It’s just a matter of staying focused on the reason I want to go, which is to impact the people I come in contact with in a way that helps them (and me) focus more on God. I’m really looking forward to seeing what God does with my summer, and the time after! Especially since I am not sure what I want to do when I am done being a counselor. I’m trying to trust that God will make it clear when the time comes.
Secondly, my family is going on an Epic Camping Trip next month! We are hitting Georgia, North Carolina, and maybe even Tennessee (I’m not completely sure.) We’ve never done a camping trip this big and we are all looking forward to it immensely! We’re ending our time at an amazing cabin, and I cannot wait. 21 Days!!
Third, Cheryl and I named our drama team; C.L.A.Y.: Crafting Confidence, Communication, and Camaraderie. C.L.A.Y. stands for Creatively Learning, Acting, and Yielding (as in to each other and God). Our verse is Isaiah 64:8b:
We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.
We want to be molded in the image of our creator.
And because I love my nephews, here is a picture of them:
